CIF Card Mailing System

Intent to Award a Sole Source task order This is not a request for proposal or a request for quote. The United States General Services Administration (GSA), Federal Acquisition Service (FAS), Acquisition Operations Division (AOD), San Francisco, CA in accordance with FAR Subpart 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Subpart 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures; intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Dynetics Engineering for an Intellifold Card Mailing System machine, which is compatible with the current NBS Horizon CAC mailing system. On a previous procurement, Dynetics Engineering was chosen as the best value vendor after a competitive procurement process. Currently, no other source is capable of providing the necessary compatible equipment and a return credit for the outgoing equipment. The purchase of other competing mailing systems would require multiple high priced upgrades to the current system to make then compatible. The determination not to compete this requirement is made at the sole discretion of the Contracting Officer in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b).
