--Modification to contract W91CRB-07-C-0098, Development of the Digital Enhanced Night Vision Goggles

United States Army Research, Development, and Engineering Command Contracting Center (RDECOM) intends to modify Cost Plus Fixed Fee contract with BAE Systems Information and Electronics, 2 Forbes Road, Lexington, MA 02421-7306 on a sole source basis for a 15 month extension to contract W91CRB-07-C0098. This modification will extend the period of performance (15) fifteen months to continue the development of the Digital Enhanced Night Vision Goggle (ENVG(D). Hardware delivery will be required in (12) twelve months. The ENVG (D) is a helmet-mounted device, presenting digital imagery that is a combination of imagery from a low light level sensor (0.6-0.9 um) and a thermal sensor (8-12 um). The Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c) (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. No RFP will be issued for this action. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement, no later than 12:00 pm EST, 19 November 2008. All information submitted should support the offerors capability to provide the services required, and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses must be in writing and must provide clear and concise documentation indicating an offerors bona fide capability to provide these services. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. Responses may be submitted via email if the total file size is less than 5MB.
