The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 17 intends to establish a Consignment agreement with Abbott Laboratories, Abbott Park, Illinois, for Cardiology Catheterization Laboratory supplies. The requesting location is Central Texas Veterans Health Care System 1901 S. Veterans Memorial Drive, Temple, TX 76504. NAICS 339113 applies. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 41 U.S.C.253 (c) (1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 8.405-6 (B) only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized). The described simplify the filling of recurring needs for supplies and services for use at Central Texas Veteran Health Care Cardio Catheterization Laboratory and only Abbott Laboratories can fulfill this requirement. No other company is expected to respond to this requirement. Period of Performance shall be from the date of award, and extends for 36 months.
