Response Due Date: April 15, 2023, by 10:00AM (EST) NOTICE OF THE INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE SYNOPSIS Network Contract Office 1, Procurement Office East on behalf of The Department of Veterans Affairs, Boston VA Medical Center intends to award a firm-fixed contract with no options to Zimmer USA to provide Rosa Knee System.  The proposed procurement is for products/services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1). Statement of Work Rosa Knee System, Orthopedic INTRODUCTION: The VA Boston Healthcare System Surgical Department, Orthopedic Section, is in need of the Rosa Knee System for the OR, 1400 VFW Pkwy, West Roxbury. The Rosa Knee System allows our surgeons to personalize surgical knee implant procedures for their patients. ROSA enables our surgical team the ability for greater precision and flexibility during procedures. The surgical procedure using ROSA is similar to a traditional total knee replacement but includes the help of a robotic assistant. During the procedure, the ROSA Knee System uses a camera and trackers attached to your leg to know where your knee is. The trackers help with motion and adjust accordingly, ensuring the surgery plan stays as intended. All contractor personnel shall report and obtain a short-term identification badge issued by the COR or government designated representative. Such badge shall be worn by the individual and prominently displayed at all times while on VA Property. No employee of the contractor shall enter the site without a valid identification badge issued by the VA. In order to obtain a short-term identification badge, contractor personnel shall present to the COR a valid (non-expired) photo identification issued by a US federal, state or local government agency. After hours all contractor personnel (without exception) must report to the Clinical Engineering Department, to sign in where a contractor identification badge is verified before any work is performed.
