This is not a RFQ, but a notice to the public of the Government's intent to make a Sole Source Award to Brainlab. STATEMENT OF NEED: The VA Pittsburgh HealthCare System (VAPHS) 646 has a need to procure a Service and Support Contract with Brainlab, Inc. for the Brainlab Image-Guided Surgery platform utilized in the Operating Room by Neurosurgery, Orthopedic surgery, and ENT surgery. This procurement consists of the purchase of Support Packages for each Navigation Package that Surgical Services currently owns all components to. Brainlab Inc. is the only manufacturer of Navigation/Surgical Platforms compatible with their unit. This procurement consists of Application Support, 24/7 Hotline Remote Support, OR Assistance, On-Site Application Training, and Software Updates as outlined in the Description of Items/Scope of Work. The VAPHS is seeking a contract for a period of one year. The VAPHS anticipates the need for Software Updates and Technical Support as outlined in the Description of Item /Scope of Work. A sales/technical representative may/may not be present during surgery to provide technical/equipment expertise to the surgeons and the surgical team. The representative must be certified/qualified by Brainlab Inc. to represent expertise with the Brainlab Image-Guided Surgery platform.
