NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. This is a notice of intent to solicit and award a sole source contract under statutory authority 10 USC 2304(c)(1), set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulations 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Orlando VA Healthcare System, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 8, 13800 Veterans Way, Orlando, Florida, 32827, intends to award a firm-fixed price sole source contract for LabSystem Pro System to Boston Scientific Corporation, 300 Boston Scientific Way, Marlborough, Massachusetts 01752-1291, United States. This procurement is for a Sole Source Justification in accordance with FAR 13.501(a), where acquisition conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures are exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6, but still require a justification using the format of FAR 6.303-2. The NAICS code for this procurement is 339112 and the Small Business Administration Size Standard is 1,000. This procurement is also being conducted in accordance with procedures in FAR subpart 13.5 under the authority for other than full and open competition FAR 13.106-1(b) soliciting from a single source. If vendors believe they have the technical capability to meet this need, submit a complete technical package, which provides clear and convincing evidence that they can meet the Government s requirement. Vendors who are not registered in System For Award Management (SAM) database prior to award will not be considered. Vendors may register with SAM via the web to https://www.sam.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement bases upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of government.
