The Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) has an urgent requirement to procure two robotic platforms, in accordance with the John Deere/iRobot Patrol R-Gator System High Level Performance Specification. The contractor shall produce 2 Generation 2.5 R-Gator systems, one year of hardware and software support, and a spare parts package. The R-Gator system consists of a platform (with integrated sensor package), User Interface (UI), and priced options, as speci fied in the John Deere/iRobot Vehicle Comparison Chart V2. This is to announce PEO STRIs intent to award a non-competitive fixed price contract to John Deere, Inc., to fulfill this requirement. The estimated value of this award is approximately $900K. J ohn Deere is the only known company capable of providing the required platform support and sustainment capability for these fielded systems. A response to this synopsis is not required.
