The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, with BAE Systems, Ground Systems Division (BAE-GSD) a modification to contract M67854-09-C-6006, Technical, Engineering and Management Services for the Assault Amphibious Vehicle (AAV) Family of Vehicles (FOV). This modification is to extend the period of performance by adding two option periods and to increase the contract ceiling by $27M. The purpose of this extension and corresponding increase in the contract ceiling authorization is to provide a contract performance bridge, allowing continuation of services for the AAV FOV without interruption. Statutory authority for this sole source procurement is under Title 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. BAE-GSD has been identified as the only responsible source capable of meeting the government’s requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals.
