25--Announcing the Sole Source Procurement of High Performance Lightweight Track being developed for use on an Army Combat Vehicle.

ACC-Warren proposes to award on a sole source basis with BAE Systems. This contract will be awarded for the fabrication of 3 vehicles sets plus 20 % spares (1196 total) of T-161 thin-walled track pins, polymer pad plates and hybrid end connectors. These track components were developed under Contract W56HZV-08-C-0013 with BAE and include modifications to decrease the weight of the track along with improved durability. A sole source contract is requested because BAE owns the Technical Data Package for this version of track and is the only source available to fabricate it.
