Reverse Osmosis Inspection and Testing

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard,Contracting Department, intends to award a sole source Firm-Fixed Price contract to Parker-Hannifin Corp Water Purification Under the authority of USC2304(c)(1) pursuant to FAR 6.202-1(a)(2), the product or services needed by the agency are available from only one responsiblesource or only from a limited number of responsible sources and no other type of property or services will satisfy the needs of the agency. A determination not to compete this proposed contract is based on market research and is solely within the discretion of the government. As evidenced in the sole source justification provided by the requiring activity there is only one contractor thathas the specific qualifications that meet the peculiar requirements of this contract. The qualifications for this position are uniqueand are shown in the attached Sole Source Justification for work on the Reverse Osmosis aboard a Virgina Class submarine. This acquisition is being solicited on an unrestricted basis. Even though the intent is for a sole source contract, all responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency. Quotations are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability by responding to the requirement through email submission to Brian Lee ([email protected]) no later than 12:30 PM Eastern, June 26, 2023 If no responses are received by the above referenced date/time a sole source contract will be awarded to Parker-Hannifin Corp Water Purification. The award date is estimated to be no laterthan August 1 2023
