16--US Army Parachutist Oxygen Mask (POM) validation regulators sole source purchase order award notification

Pursuant to FAR subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), the US Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground, Natick Contracting Division, on behalf of the Product Manager - Soldier Clothing and Individual Equipment (PM-SCIE) intends to award a firm-fixed price purchase order on a sole source basis to Carleton Technologies, 10 Cobham Drive, Orchard Park, NY 14127-0747. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. No solicitation document is available. The Government has a requirement for 40 Verification Regulators for use with test stands supporting the Parachutist Oxygen Mask (POM) system designed and built by Carleton Technologies. The Verification Regulators being procured are mirrored after the oxygen regulators manufactured by Carleton Technologies. The proprietary items cannot be copied or reproduced without affecting form, fit, or function of the test stands it will support. The Government does not anticipate any future requirements for this item outside of the 40 required at this time.
