36--Notice of Intent to Award - Miscellaneous Parts for Aerial Fire Suppression Equipment

SUBJECT: This is a Notice of Intent to make a Sole Source award under the authority of FAR 13.501 to SEI Industries, 7400 Wilson Avenue, Delta BC V4G 1H3, to supply a variety of parts for existing aerial fire suppression equipment (Bambi Buckets). SEI Industries is the manufacturer of the existing equipment and to-date the only supplier available to provide this equipment and maintenance parts. See the attached list of requirements. No solicitation or Request for Quote (RFQ) is available for this procurement. Nevertheless, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting the requirements as stated in the attached Justification and Approval, may submit a response; which, if received within fifteen (15) calendar days of the date of this announcement, will be considered. Responses to this posting must be submitted via e-mail; no phone calls will be accepted. A determination not to compete the described contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Federal Government.
