Notice of Intent to Sole Source - MEA Contract Ceiling Increase

The purpose of this action is to provide a notice of intent that U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) intends to enter into a Sole Source Contract ceiling increase for the Multirole Enforcement Aircraft (MEA). This would bring the contract ceiling from $281,150,590.00 by $112,466,202 to $393,616,792. Additionally, based on the anticipated funding availability, CBP intends to extend the term of the contract by six (6) months to support issuing a final order. This proposed contract action is to raise the ceiling on the existing contract for the acquisition of Multirole Enforcement Aircraft (MEA) thereby fulfilling the Air Interdiction (AI) requirement. The current contract enables Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Air and Marine Operations (AMO) to acquire up to 12 MEA. This action will raise the contract ceiling by five (5) aircraft, therefore enabling AMO to meet the approved program baseline of 29 aircraft. This notice is neither a request for proposal nor an invitation for bids. The Justification and Approval will be posted in accordance with FAR 6.305(a).
