The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award on a sole source basis a purchase order to Checkpoint Systems Inc, Thorofare, NJ. The purchase order is for the purpose of purchasing RFID Tag, Pre-Programmed, (Part # 371035), for the CDC Information Center Library. Checkpoint Systems Inc is the manufacture of the tag. The authority for this sole source is FAR 6-302-1 (a) (2) - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 335999. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. However, firms that believe they can provide the RFID Tags, Pre-Programmed, (Part # 371035) needs to submit written notification of interest and capability to the Contracting Specialist within 15 days from the publication date of this notice. Vendor must be registered in the Center Contractor Registration (CCR) prior to award of a purchase order(www.ccr.gov). A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
