The U.S. Army RDECOM Acquisition Center intends to negotiate solely (as prescribed in FAR 6.302-1) with Smith Detection, 2202 Lakeside Boulevard, Edgewood, MD 21040. The contractor shall provide Biological Detector Lab Software Site License. Smith Detection was the developer of the Biological Detector. These are proprietary items. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 335999 with a size standard of 500 employees. Responses to this notice must be received no later than 12:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time, September 10, 2007. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation of off ers. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this Notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
