61--NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: This is a special notice of intent to award a Firm-Fixed-Price contract to ONTIC Engineering and Manufacturing, Inc, 20400 Plumber Street, Chatsworth, C 91311-5371, CAGE Code 45934.

Letterkenny Army Depot (LEAD) has a requirement to purchase component parts for the repair of D.C. Motor (NSN 6105-01-550-0504), Armature, Motor, ONTIC part # 22279-1020, and Housing, Brake Assembly, ONTIC part # 22279-1160. These items are used in the Recapitalalization (RECAP) of the PATRIOT Missile Launcher. The Statutory Authority permitting Other than Full and Open Competition for this action is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as cited in FAR 6.302-1, quote mark Only One Responsible Source and No other Supplies and Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements quote mark . The Government does not possess the technical data package (TDP.) The TDP is proprietary to the original manufacturer ONTIC Engineering and Manufacturing Inc. This announcement constitutes the only notice by the government; a written solicitation will not be issued. All sources that believe they are eligible to provide these items must respond in writing. Responses must be supported with clear and convincing evidence to clearly articulate the ability to provide the items outlined above. A request for documentation will not be considered an affirmative response. This Special Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. If no written responses are received by the date listed below, which reflects thirty (30) days after the publication of this notice, the purchase will be awarded without further remark.
