--Notice of Intent to Sole Source Services for Replacement of Transformer Coolers at Lake Barkley Power Plant, Nashville District USACE

The Nashville District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to sole source a firm-fixed price contract to ABB, Inc., 4350 Semple Avenue, St. Louis, MO, 63120, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 for the services of replacement of a transformer cooler at the Lake Barkley Power Plant. All proprietary data on the projects General Electric transformer cooler has been sold to ABB, Inc. This is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to meet the requirements by submitting a Statement of Capability. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive (i.e., non-brand name) procurement. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice. Interested sources who submit data are responsible for appropriately marking information if it is proprietary in nature. Please provide past performance and references regarding your ability to provide this supply and service along with your Statement of Capability. The Government will not award a contract based on the information received, nor reimburse participants for information they provide. Information provided is strictly voluntary.
