--Notice of Intent to Negotiate on a Sole Source Basis for MINITube Assays, ECL Positive Controls, and ECL Bulk Reagents

The U.S. Army Space & Missile Defense Command on behalf of the U.S. Critical Reagents Program intends to procure on a sole source basis, Electrochemiluminescence (ECL) MINITube assays, ECL Positive Controls, and ECL bulk reagents. The intended contr actor is BioVeris Corporation, 10620 Industrial Drive, Gaithersburg, MD 20877. It is anticipated that the existing Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contract will be modified to extend the period of performance for a one (1) year period. BioVeris Corporation is the only known source for ECL technology that will work with Government-owned equipment for use in the National Capital Region Silver Standard Laboratory and other sites designated by the Department of Defense. The Government has identified BioVeris Corporation as the only known soure qualified to produce ECL MINITubes for use with the M-Series M1M analyzers and ECL bulk reagents for use with the M-Series M8 and M384 analyzers. Parties purporting to have the requisite credentials to perform this work must furnish, in writing, factual information which clearly supports and demonstrates evidence of such abilities no later than 17 June 2007.
