Notice of Intent to Sole Source Award for Annual Calibration, Repair and Testing of PortaCount Respirator Fit Testers

NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE SOLE SOURCE AWARD The U.S. Coast Guard Director of Operational Logistics (DOL) Division 94 intends to award a Firm Fixed-Price, sole source contract to TSI Inc. to provide Annual Calibration, Repair and Testing (in accordance with the manufacturer specifications) of PortaCount Respirator Fit Tester, Model(s) 8030 and 8038 (Pro Plus) owned by the U. S. Coast Guard, Base Portsmouth, VA under authority FAR 13.106-1(b)(1): For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements that are indicated in the attached Justification and the Statement of Work. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 334519 Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing with a size standard of 500. This Notice of Intent is NOT a Request for Proposals or Quotations. The Contracting Officer determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). Interested parties that believe they could satisfy the requirements listed may clearly and unambiguously identify their capability to do so in writing on or before the response date for this notice. Information submitted in response to this notice will be used solely to determine whether competitive procedures could be used for this acquisition. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
