6515--GE 4c-V Probe, Vmax Option, 4D Ultra Edition v204 upgrade and Vivid v204 Software eDelivery

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Health Care System, Puget Sound, WA intends to award a sole source commercial purchase order to GE Healthcare, A Division of General Electric Company. This proposed action is for the purchase of a 4Vc-D probe for echo-cardiogram procedures, Vmax Option, 4D Ultra edition v204 upgrade and Vivid E95/E90/E80 v204 Software eDelivery. This will be a firm-fixed price contract. The VA intends to procure this requirement on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.303-2 and FAR 13.501. This is not a request for competitive quotes and no solicitation will be issued; however any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 5 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Responses are due by 5/25/21, 1:00pm MST. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in accordance with FAR Parts 12 & 13.
