The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source contract (as prescribed in the Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1) to PerkinElmer Health Sciences Inc, 710 Bridgeport Avenue , Shelton, CT, 06484-4750. PerkinElmer Health Sciences Inc is the sole manufacturer of the instruments, and is the only contractor capable of providing the support and software upgrades on this proprietary equipment. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
