The VA Palo Alto Health Care System in need of a Fujifilm VisualSonics Vevo 3100. This item can only be procured from Fujifilm VisualSonics and will be the sole source vendor. The Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC), National Activations Office (NAO) intends to issue a brand name solicitation to Fujifilm VisualSonics requesting Fujifilm VisualSonics Vevo 3100. This procurement is for a Sole Source (Brand Name) Justification in accordance with FAR 13.501(a), where acquisitions conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures are exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6, but still require a justification using the format of FAR 6.303-2. The NAICS code for this procurement is 334516 and the Small Business Administration Size Standard is 1,000 employees. This procurement is also being conducted in accordance with procedures in FAR subpart 13.5 under the authority for other than full and open competition FAR 13.106-1(b) soliciting from a single source. If vendors believe they have the technical capability to meet this need, submit a complete technical package, which provides clear and convincing evidence that they can meet the Government's requirement.
