The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to Artel instrumentation. Market Research review, no other potential contractors, other than the preArtel can perform this contract because they are the sole provider of the software. Artel Multichannel Verification System (MVS) is the only instrumentation that is available that meets the level of quality and traceability that is needed to verify the volume transfer of robotic equipment, manual pipettes and electronic pipettes in the laboratory. This piece of equipment is the only piece of equipment in the market that can provide NIST traceable materials which provide the highest level of quality and assurance during volume verification. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 “only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.” Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This noticeoif intent is not a request for competitive quotations or proposals; however, all responses received within fifteen (15) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
