The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to PEAK SCIENTIFIC INC, for the Genius XE35 120V Generator. The nitrogen generator which supports multiple service groups at ADBB, namely genomic sequencing, oligonucleotide synthesis QC, and proteomics. Peak Scientific is the top vendor that makes a nitrogen generator compatible with the requirements of the Sequel II instrument, ThermoFisher Scientific Orbitrap instruments, and Bruker timsTOF Pro instrument and that can meet the needs of the laboratory by providing an instrument with the needed specifications (minimum 95% purity, up to 35 L/min flow, pressure output up to 116 PSI, built-in air compressor), quick installation, excellent warranty, and direct instrument support. The Genius XE35 instrument sold by Peak Scientific will integrate seamlessly into the existing laboratory infrastructure without requiring extensive labor by the vendor or CDC contracted mechanics to install new lines, cables, electrical, or other time-consuming work that would delay the ability to operate the ADBB instruments. Justification of the capability required is provided on the sole source justification document. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
