66--Upgrade the Chemistry Department's existing Cary Eclipse Flourimeter to the multicell Biomelt configuration

Solicitation W911SD-12-T-0482 - Notice of Intent to Sole Source reference FAR 13.103-1(b)(1). The US Military Academy West Point, NY is procuring the following: upgrade from Cary Eclipse Flourimeter to the multicell Biomelt configuration. The United States Military Academy (USMA) intends to award on a sole source basis, IAW 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), a contract to Agilent Technologies 5301 Stevens Creek Blvd, PO Box 58059, Santa Clara, CA 95052, as the only responsible source to upgrade the Chemistry Department's existing Cary Eclipse Flourimeter to the multicell Biomelt configuration. The total award amount is estimated to be $36,276.09. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement. The applicable NAICS Code is 334513 and the size standard is 500 Employees. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes. This notice of intent is not a request for quotation or a solicitation for offers. However, all quotes received within three days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement upon receipt of response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. There will be no solicitation available.
