Special Notice: The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Weather Service (NWS), National Reconditioning Center (NRC) is awarding a Purchase Order for the repair services of the following equipment: 10 each Sensor Head, Visibility, LEDWI, (Present Weather Sensor) OSI PN: 1103-101, ASN: S100-2MT2A2 and 15 each MICROPROCESSOR CARD, STI PN: 1103-214, ASN: S100-2MT2A1A1A3 to Optical Scientific, Inc. Sole Source Justification: The Government only knows of one source, Optical Scientific, Inc. who is the original designer, patent holder and manufacturer of the Sensor Head, Visibility, LEDWI and the ASOS Present Weather Sensor's Microprocessor Board and they retain full proprietary rights to all related designs, drawings, schematics, software, etc. Market Research: ASN: S100-2MT2A1A1A3 Multiple searches of the Small Business Administration (SBA) Dynamic Small Search failed to identify any additional small businesses available to compete for this repair service.
