58 -- RECEIVER TRANSMITTER

The government intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Rockwell Collins, 400 Collins Road NE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, 52498. Requirement consists of the acquisition of a Receiver Transmitter and Control Radio equipment (Version 8) in support of ongoing communications development and data link testing. Equipment must be compatible with data link technology already integrated into existing hardware. The upgrade from Version 5 to Version 8 is beneficial to Barksdale AFB personnel who are presently trained and have extensive knowledge of the current version and would incur minimal down time to integrate the updated version.
