--Notice of intent to award 95 ea. MDT-PRO GPS Tracking System under other than full and open competition

The Army Contracting Agency, Contracting Center of Excellence (CCE), on behalf of the The Directorate of Transportation-Washington, Motor Operations Division (DOT-W), intends to negotiate and award a commercial firm fixed price award under other than full and open competition- sole source basis to the Fleet Management Solutions, Inc., 1150 Osos Street, Ste. 110, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401-3689, in accordance with FAR 6.3. The CCE intends to procure the following items: 95 ea. MDT-PRO GPS tracking sy stem with two way satellite communication equppied with 18 antenna, FMS all-satellite tracking and communication application, installation of GPS tracking system and applications, database integration, testing deployment of GPS tracking system, and enhanc ed 1 year service for 100 ea. MDT-PRO GPS system. The delivery will be FOB- Destination. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1); only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy Agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals. However, all proposals or responses received will be considered by solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No RFP will be posted to A SFI as a result of this announcement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responses should be received via email by 12:00 p.m. ES T on 21 July 2006 to Mr. Han Park at [email protected]. The Government shall not be liable for, or not responsible for any technical information provided. Award is anticipated on or about 28 Juy 2006.
