NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: The 3rd Contracting Squadron, Elmendorf AFB, AK intends to award a sole source purchase order to Zoll Medical Corporation. Items to be procured: Zoll auto pulse system, quantity 3; AutoPulse Battery, quantity 9; AutoPulse Battery Charger, quantity 3; LifeBand, quantity 3; LifeBand Trainer, quantity 3; AutoPulse Head Immobilizer, quantity 3; AutoPulse Shoulder Restraint, quantity 3; AutoPulse Backboard cable ties backboard restraint, quantity 3; AutoPulse grip strips adhesive back strips, quantity 3; AutoPulse soft stretcher extrication stretcher, quantity 3; Auto Pulse in-service training video (DVD), quantity 1; AutoPulse soft carry case, quantity 3. This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and other than full and open competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1. The anticipated award date is 18 April 07. This notice is neither a request for competitive proposals nor a solicitation of offers. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
