The National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC) intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Aeroflex Plainview Inc., 35 South Service Rd, Plainview, NY, 11803, for the repair of two FS5000 Comstron Frequency Synthesizers. Aeroflex Plainview Inc. is the sole provider of repairs for these frequency synthesizers as the electronic circuitry is proprietary to them and can only be serviced by them. This requirement is conducted under FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the requirement. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. This notice of intent is NOT a request for quotes. However, all capability statements and quotes received within five (5) calendar days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
