48--Purchase of OEM position measurement devices known by the trade name of CIMS to be used as replacement units for the Hydraulic Operating Cylinders at the Olmsted Lock, Olmsted, IL

Notification of Sole Source Procurement: in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2301 (c)(3)the Government intends to sole source to Bosch Rexroth Company, Bethlehem, PA, for the purchase of OEM position measurement devices known by the trade name of CIMS to be used as replacement units for the Hydraulic Operating Cylinders at the Olmsted Lock, Olmsted, IL. Bosch Rexroth Company holds the sole patent on these measurement system units and is the only manufacturer in the world. No other position measurement system unit will work with the hydraulic cylinders installed at the Olmsted Lock. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. A proposal must be submitted no later than 2:00 PM EST on 22 June 2012 to [email protected].
