J--Modification to add and exercise option to extend services (FAR 52.217-8) for elevator inspection services at the Wilmington VAMC, DE

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 4, 323 North Shore Drive, Suite 400, Pittsburgh, PA 15212, intends to award a sole source Firm-Fixed-Price modification to contract VA244-13-C-0193, which is awarded to Bayline Lift Technologies, LLC, for the provision of elevator inspection services at the Wilmington VA Medical Center (VAMC) located in Wilmington, DE. The proposed contract modification is for the addition and exercise of the Option to Extend Services IAW FAR 52.217-8. This contract action is for services for which the Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the procedures in FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 333921 with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. Responsible sources may identify their interest by submitting capability information by 4:00 P.M., EST, on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, in order to establish the ability of the source to meet this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract modification based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this notification.
