Range II Greenhouse Shade Curtains

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Beltsville Agricultural Research Center (BARC), Research Support Services intends to award a sole source simplified, fixed price acquisition to Wadsworth Control Systems, Inc. located at 5541 Marshall Street Arvada, CO 80002. The purpose is to replace shade curtains in the Range II greenhouses. The existing framework and equipment in the Range II greenhouses was manufactured by Wadsworth therefore materials must be interchangeable with the Wadsworth system. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. However, it is a market research tool being used to determine the availability and adequacy of potential sources prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of a Request for Quotes (RFQ) including the use of any and all appropriate small business programs. Vendors that believe they can provide a product that fully meets the Government's requirement or who are resellers of Wadsworth manufactured greenhouse shade curtains and materials are invited to submit substantiating documentation in writing to the identified point of contact within 15 days after publication of this notice. This notice is for informational and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. A determination by the Government not to conduct a competitive procurement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
