Sources Sought The purpose of this Sources Sought Announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), Small Business Manufacturers, other Small Businesses interested and capable of providing items requested, as well as any large businesses. The results from this source sought notice will be used to determine set-aside. The intended contract is a firm-fixed price supply purchase. The SBA Non-Manufacturer Rule class waiver under NAICS Code 333415 for commercial refrigerator equipment manufacturing is anticipated to be used for this potential acquisition. The Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO20 is looking for BRAND NAME or EQUAL sources of the following: Helmer iLF120-GX i.Series Laboratory Freezer, 20 cubic feet Manufacturer: Helmer Scientific Quantity: 1 Helmer iPR256-GX i.Series Pharmacy Refrigerator, 56 cubic feet (with NSF/ANSI 456 Vaccine Storage Certified Labeling and Certificate or Calibration) Manufacturer: Helmer Scientific Quantity: 2 Required Salient Characteristics: Laboratory Freezer Helmer iLF120-GX i.Series Laboratory Freezer is needed for safe vaccine storage with the recommended temperature settings per CDC guidelines in the main pharmacy at the Walla Walla VA Medical Center Pharmacy The equipment must meet the minimum of the following: Must be pharmaceutical grade purpose-built units. Must include a buffered temperature probe to prevent false thermostat readings. Must include certificate of calibration generated with an ISO 17025. Must include digital reader with data logger - this will allow pharmacy the ability to generate regular quality control measures for temperature verification, logging & download capabilities. Must be certified to NSF/ANSI 456 vaccine storage standard - required by the CDC. Must support the Flex-Lock system provided by Omnicell for use in storing frozen medications. Must include onboard temperature alarm - this will notify pharmacy personal when set temperature ranges are exceeded. Must include forced air circulation - this maintains temperature integrity by providing quick recovery time after door is opened. Must not include defrost cycle to maintain temperature - this will ensure constant temperature control & not create sudden dips in temperature.
