NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) intends to award a Sole Source contract to Applied Energy Systems Inc. of 180 Quaker LN Mavlern, PA 19355 to furnish: 2 Cylinder Fully Automatic Gas Cabinet with 1 7-valve fully automatic manifold for silane and 3-value purge manifold and 3 Cylinder fully automatic Gas cabinet with 2 7-valve fully automatic manifold 1 hydrogen and 1 for ammonia include a 2- value purge manifold. NRL requires several gas cabinets for integration into a plasma-enhanced MOCVD. These must include cabinets for silane and ammonia/hydrogen Cabinets must be interfaced with the main MOCVD. The MOCVD vendor has established Applied Energy Systems as the vendor that meets their requirements. Further, NRL already possesses an Applied Energy Systems cabined that will be used in this system (for hydrogen sulfide storage) and ensuring that the interfaces between all gas cabinets and the main MOCVD and standardized is crucial for proper system performance. TITLE: 2-Cylinder Fully Automatic Gas Cabinet with (1) 7-Valve Fully Automatic Manifold for Silane and 3-Value Purge Manifold The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this requirement is 333242 with the size standard of 500. Federal Supply Code (FSC) / Product Service Code (PSC) is 6640. This purchase will be made under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13--Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1-- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. Vendors who feel that they can provide the above requirement may submit a quotation and technical capabilities, which if received within fifteen (15) calendar days of publication of this notice, shall be considered by NRL. All responses must be submitted to the Government point of contact at the email address shown below. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The intent of this notice is for informational purposes only. No reimbursement for any cost connected with providing capability information will be provided. No award will be made on the basis of quotes or offers received in response to this sole source notice of intent.
