65--The US Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Teniplast USA, Inc., 180 Gordon Drive, STE 109, Exton, PA 19341-1340 for rodent racks with an auto watering system.

USAMRAA on behalf of the National Biodefense Analysis and Countermeasures Center (NBACC)intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Teniplast for the following items: Sealsafe plus rack, model 2GR35CP, Edstrom Autowatering Manifolds W/A 160 quick disconnect valves with dual flush setup for manual & on-line, and Additional cage setups, model GR9000SU for guinea pigs. Teniplast offers the Sealsafe design that offers housing flexibility not found in other rodent housing manufacturers. The Sealsafe design provides a silicon gasket in the cage top to ensure a perfect seal for NBACC in a high container environment. The cage top also has a 0.2 micron filter that allows air transfer in and out of the cage in the event of ventilation failure, without compromising the integrity of the cage unit. No solicitation document exists for this requirement. Any firm that believes it can provide the supplies is invited to submit written notification to the contracting officer within 15 calendar days from the date of publication of this notice. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the firm's ability to provide the items. Responses received will be evaluated; however a determination by the government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. If no responses are received, USAMRAA will proceed with the sole source contract.
