Department of Agriculture's (USDA), Animal Plan Health Inspection Service's (APHIS), Veterinary Services (VS) Traceability Program. Background: The USDA intends to acquire taggers that meet the fit, form, and functionality of the Hasco brand tagger model 49/56SA or the National Band and Tag brand tagger model 49s sufficient to accurately and correctly apply a Hasco brand or National Band and Tag brand style 49 metal cattle ear tag. The tagger shall be durable, lite weight, not more than 1.5 lbs. and must function properly in wet or dry conditions of temperatures from minus (- 10) to 110 degrees Celsius.
