The Naval Supply (NAVSUP) Systems Command, Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Jacksonville, FL. intends to issue a sole source award utilizing Simplified Acquisitions Procedures to Renk Systems Corp. (an Other Than Small Business). They are the only U.S-based Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), authorized provider of parts and services related to Renk manufactured transmissions installed on LCS vessels. The requirement is for immediate replacement during USS Billings Emergent Availability at Southeast Regional Maintenance Center (SERMC), Mayport, FL. This sole-source acquisition meets the conditions under Statutory Authority permitting Other Than Full Competition under 41 U.S. C. 1901(e)2, Special Rules for Commercial Items, as implemented by FAR 13.501(a) and is not a request for competitive quotes, however all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements should contact

It is anticipated that any resulting solicitation will be for a sole-source, Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract with a Product Service Code (PSC) 3120 and a NAICS of 332991 with a size standard of 1,250 employees. This notice of intent is for information purposes only. All sources eligible to provide this requirement must respond in writing. Responses must be supported with clear and convincing evidence to clearly articulate the ability to provide this requirement as outlined above. A request for documentation will not be considered as an affirmative response.
