It is the National Energy Technology Laboratory's intent to award a purchase order on a sole source basis to AUTOCLAVE ENGINEERS FLUID COMPONENTS DIVISION for the following two (2) requirements: 1) Custom Reactor for a MIR Reaction System (a custom modification of a BTRS-900 System). This custom tubular reactor upgrade is designed for use at 200 psig @ 900 ?C. The reactor shall be interchangeable with the existing NETL system which was designed and supplied by Autoclave Engineers, Div. of Snap-tite, Inc. 2) Custom Design Package (including ASME Code Package). This is not a formal solicitation. This synopsis is not considered a Request for Quotation or Proposal. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Challenges must demonstrate the capability to provide the following: 1) Custom Reactor for a MIR Reaction System (a custom modification of a BTRS-900 System). This custom tubular reactor upgrade is designed for use at 200 psig @ 900 ?C. If no challenges to acquire this service are received by 5:30 p.m. EST on 09/03/2009, the government reserves the right to execute an award wit hout publishing a solicitation.
