The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground – Natick Contracting Division on behalf of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities and Development Command (CCDC), Expeditionary Maneuver Support Directorate (EMSD) intends to procure on a sole source basis under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements – 2 cleaning tanks with startup media for the CLIP and Polyjet 3D printing technologies. The DEPT Engineering Team at CCDC SC is working to improve repeatability for post processing of Polyjet and CLIP parts. The contractor will deliver 2 each PostProcess FORTI systems with startup media to enable efficient and environmentally friendly post processing for the CLIP and Polyjet 3D printing technologies at CCDC SC. The preferred system will be software driven and developed specifically for Additive manufacturing to include the solvent formulation and operating software on board. The system shall not require network connectivity. The proprietary cleaning fluid used in CLIP and Polyjet 3D systems cannot be synthesized to improve environmental friendliness of the AM Lab. These system have been designed to work with a proprietary fluid that will streamline part cleaning time and standardize output quality. All other systems on the market for chemistry based post processing are repurposed industrial equipment that compromises repeatability environmental friendliness. Computer Aided Technology, LLC is the only known source that can provide the 2 cleaning tanks with startup media for the CLIP and Polyjet 3D printing technologies and it is proprietary to Computer Aided Technology, LLC.
