INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE-- CensiMark Laser Marking Unit for the Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 7 located in Augusta, GA intends to issue a sole source firm fixed priced contract to Censis Technologies, Inc. The contract is expected to be awarded under FAR Part 13. A Sole Source Justification has been prepared. The contract will be to supply a CensiMark Laser Unit. The Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center requires CensiMark Laser Unit to provide a flexible portfolio of instrument tracking options using CensiTrac, a highly advanced, web-based, customer-friendly platform. The solutions ensure instruments, trays, and mobile equipment are accurately tracked through robust inventory controls and management to better serve the mission of taking care of our Veterans. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b) (1)(ii), Soliciting from a Single Source. The NAICS code utilized for this procurement is 332812 Metal Coating, Engraving (except Jewelry and Silverware), and Allied Services to Manufacturers with a Small Business Size Standard of 500 Employees. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, Contractors may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the contracting officer whether to continue with the sole source procurement or to provide for competition.
