Hippo Request for Prototype Proposals (RPP 19-14) under Ground Vehicle Systems

The purpose of this announcement is to provide members of the National Advanced Mobility Consortium (NAMC), and industry in general, advanced notification of the Government's intent to release a Requests for Prototype Proposals (RPP) to the NAMC membership. _________________________________________ Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck - Load Handling System (HEMTT-LHS) Compatible Water Tank Rack (Hippo) Request for Prototype Proposal Special Notice Army Contracting Command - Warren (ACC-WRN) intends to issue a Request for Prototype Proposals (RPP) for the Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck - Load Handling System (HEMTT-LHS) Compatible Water Tank Rack (Hippo) under the Ground Vehicle Systems Other Transaction Agreement (GVS OTA), W15QKN-17-9-1025-RPP 19-14. The Government will utilize the GVS OTA for the award of this future project. The Government intends to award up to three (3) agreements for the prototype phase. The Government is seeking the delivery of one prototype Hippo system for Government testing, from each NAMC member that is selected for award. **A Virtual Industry Day for this action will take place Wednesday, June 26, 2019. Membership in the National Advanced Mobility Consortium (NAMC) is required to partcipate in this Virtual Industry Day. U.S.C. §2371b(f), and upon a determination that this competitively awarded prototype project has been successfully completed, this prototype project may result in the award of a follow-on production contract without the use of competitive procedures. The anticipated follow-on production quantity of Hippo units is currently estimated at 1,964 units. NOTE: This Special Notice is for informational purposes only.
