U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District Contracting Office intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)to Cole Industrial, Inc., Lynnwood, WA 98036. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Only one source reasonably available (urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name, or industrial mobilization). The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 13. Interested organizations may submit t heir capabilities/qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 4:00 P.M., Pacific Daylight Time on 30 July 2007. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining w hether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Gover nment.
