AN41--Security door and camera add on to a Vivarium unit Pre-solicitation Notice with Intent to Sole Source

Pre-Solicitation Notice for notice of intent to award a sole source contract. This is not a solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to complete a sole source award for an upgrade of the security door and camera to the module rodent Vivarium unit with Art s-way Scientific, Inc, 5556 Hwy 9, Armstrong, IA 50514 for the Richard L Roudebush VA Medical Center, Research and Development office, located at 1481 West Tenth Street, Indianapolis IN 46202. This requirement is a follow-on to add door security and camera to a recent purchase 36C24E21P0088 of a Vivarium unit. The door security and camera to be installed needs to be compatible with the vivarium system recently installed. Art s-way Scientific, Inc, is the current vendor installing the Vivarium unit. Since the intent is to procure this on a sole source basis, no solicitation will be posted to FedBizOps (FBO). The applicable NAICS code is 332311 with a 750-employee size standard. The PSC is AN41. The authority for this action is FAR 6.302.1-1 Only One Responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
