RECOVERY –Prefabricated Concrete Vault Toilet Buildings for the San Juan National Forest

RECOVERY – This notice is for information purposes only as required by FAR subpart 5.7 “Publicizing Requirement under the American Recovery and Reinvestment of Act 2009”. It is the intent of the Forest Service to use an existing Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) under GSA Contract No. GS-07F-602N to procure Prefabricated Concrete Vault Toilet Buildings for the San Juan National Forest. This acquisition is being conducted under the authority of the Multiple Award Schedule Program (FAR 8.401 & FAR 8.405-3). The Forest Service will enter into negotiations with firms under the existing contracts to reach a best value determination for award. The San Juan National Forest intends to replace 29 toilet buildings that do not meet Forest Service condition standards. The toilet buildings being replaced represent high priorities with regards to public safety and health, environmental issues, and accommodations for people with disabilities. Project locations are within the San Juan National Forest, Columbine and Pagosa Ranger Districts, La Plata & Archuleta Counties, Colorado. The recreation areas that will be upgraded on the Columbine Ranger District include: Chris Park Loop, Florida Campground, Middle Mountain Campground, Transfer Park Campground, Vallecito Campground, Pine Point Middle and South, and Snowslide. The recreation areas that will be upgraded on the Pagosa Ranger District include: Middle Fork Trailhead, Williams Creek Campground, Bridge Campground, Buckles Lake Trailhead, Piedra Picnic Grounds, Cimarrona Campground, and the West Fork Campground.
