The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 17, intends to award an anticipated sole source procurement contract to ACME Brick Company, 2821 W. 7th Street, Fort Worth, TX 76107, for procurement of an exclusive line of clay body brick with a fired-on glazing, manufactured by Elgin-Butler, which is distributed by ACME Brick Company of Fort Worth, TX., plus the dedicated EZ Wall System. The product numbers are #5000 Cordova Cream/Group B, #2200 Cobalt/Group Accent, #4005 Burnt Sienna/Group Accent and #4124 Plum/Group Accent style and colors. This procurement will be processed under simplified acquisition procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition, as authorized by FAR 6.302-1. NAICS Code is 327331. The solicitation issue date will be on or about November 19, 2007, with the bid opening date on or about November 28, 2007, and will be issued in commercial item format. No telephone requests will be accepted and no written documents will be available. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
