Intent to Award Sole Source Contract for Removal of Government Property from Contractor Munitions Facility

SPECIAL NOTICE - INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE REMOVAL OF GOVERNMENT FURNISHED PROPERTY FROM CONTRACTOR MUNITIONS FACILITY The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, VA intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price, sole source purchase order, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), to Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense, 640 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury, CT, 06070-2420, for services to remove government property, a composite braider, located on its Graham, Kentucky, ammunition manufacturing facility. This effort requires removing and reassembly of structural components of their building, the removal, packaging and loading this government property. The Government has determined that Ensign-Bickford is the only source reasonably available because the task is time sensitive and requires unique knowledge of the facility where the equipment is located, a secure Ensign-Bickford munitions facility. Total estimated value is $22,879, work to be completed by 31 August 2012, under purchase order M67854-12-P-7402.
