The USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Veterinary Services (VS) intends to issue a sole source award using commercial and simplified acquisition procedures for Rift Valley Fever Virus (RVF) vaccine to be provided prior to and during any potential outbreaks of the Rift Valley Fever to Pfizer Inc. located in Exton, PA. The proposed contract will be for one year with options for up to an additional four years. The initial fixed amount of the contract will be for 300,000 doses. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Numbered Note 22 applies.
