The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 7, intends to negotiate a five (5) year sole-source contract with Hologic Limited Partnership, 250 Campus Drive, Marlborough, MA 01752 on or around November 1, 2014. The Ralph H Johnson VA Medical Center is seeking to procure reagents for usage in the facilities cytology department. The vendor is Hologic Limited Partnership whose reagents and supplies are already validated and onsite at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center. Any other vendor supplies would risk the loss of time and resources, and instrumentation in the cytology department for the medical center. Hologic Limited Partnership is a developer, manufacturer and supplier of diagnostic and medical imaging systems related to women's health. It develops digital imaging technology for general radiography and mammography applications. Its core business units are focused on osteoporosis assessment, gynecologic health, mammography and breast biopsy, direct-to-digital x-ray for general radiography applications and mini C-arm imaging for orthopedic applications. Hologic Limited Partnership is the sole proprietary manufacturer and cosmetic distributor of the ThinPrep 2000 Processor, the ThinPrep 3000 Processor, the ThinPrep Imaging System, and all of the ThinPrep disposables. There are no other vendors for the ThinPrep System.
