DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS Veterans Health Administration Service Area Office (SAO) Central Region 708 South 3rd Street, Suite 108E Minneapolis, MN 55415 INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE NOTICE The US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Service Area Office (SAO) Central Region Contracting intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract for the supply of medical cylinder gases for the Minneapolis VA Healthcare System and the Black Hills VA Healthcare System to Irish Oxygen Company, 2110 Legion Lane N., Lake Elmo, MN 55042. The award is for a base period of 3 months with one 3-month option. Authority: FAR Part 6.302-2 (Sole source awards under 41 USC 3304(a) (2)). Additionally, this acquisition shall follow the procedures under FAR Part 13 (Simplified Acquisition Procedures). Period of Performance: November 10, 2016 through February 9, 2017, Option Period: February 10, 2017 through May 9, 2017 NAICS: 325120/Size Standard: 1000 Employees Requirement is for medical cylinder gases for the Minneapolis VA Healthcare System and the Black Hills VA Healthcare System. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, facilities, transportation, and other items and services necessary to provide medical cylinder gases. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTES OR OFFERS. No solicitation package is available; however, any vendor that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirement. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice.
